It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, everywhere you turn. Actually, it’s not. Probably because it’s still October, but in the world of care packages, it’s definitely time to start thinking about your Christmas box. Luckily there are already lots of red and green goodies in stores and plenty of Christmas care package themes to inspire you.
The beauty of a Christmas care package, much like any care package, is that it can truly be anything you want. No matter which one of the many Christmas care package themes you choose, you can customize it to make it more personal to you and your loved one. Because so many Christmas care package themes have common elements like color and imagery, you can even mix and match aspects from any design you like.
Christmas Care Package Themes
How the Grinch Stole Christmas is probably one of the most famous Christmas movies out there so it’s only natural that it would make for a great Christmas care package theme. I love the fluffy white cuff on his sleeve! You could also use an image of the Grinch with his giant bag full of Christmas goodies. Filling your box with all the trimmings of Christmas (mini tree, lights, decorations, cookies, etc.) in a big white sack helps take that theme a step further.
This Christmas design keeps the focus on one of the biggest symbols of the holiday: the tree! The 3-D decorations and the presents made of real wrapping paper add some realistic touches. When it comes to a Christmas care package (or really any care package) the little details can really make a big difference.
The red, white and green plaid paper used in this design creates a festive background. While the decorations aren’t as complicated as some designs, they’re still fun and filled with all the wishes of the season. You could easily recreate this design with sticker letters or hand letter it yourself!
I love this one because of those flying reindeer! They’re the perfect example of a small touch making a huge difference with your Christmas care package. The adorable little scene on the bottom flap makes me feel like that fireplace is just waiting for me to cozy up beside it. This design is a great instance where clipart from the internet, some markers and a little time can make for a beautiful care package. You don’t necessarily need a fancy machine or tons of special supplies!
When my husband was deployed over the holidays, my only wish for Santa was to have my favorite guy home on Christmas morning. This care package design is inspired by that feeling, but with a fun and festive twist. This design features all of my favorite parts of Christmas: sparkly lights, stockings, a decorated tree. By adding jewels as the tree decorations and using sparkly paper for the lights, these care package flaps shimmer the way a home does on Christmas eve.
