B’s Favorite Day of the Year (So Far)

March 17, 2017

As excited as I was to have A come home, I think my excitement paled in comparison to the four-legged members of our family. I’ve let B take over the blog today to share some of his favorite homecoming moments.

Happy Friday to my peeps! I’m really excited that Rachel let me take over the blog today to tell you about my favorite day of the year.

You see, A and I have a really special relationship. He calls me Wigs and I like to lick his hair. And face. And inside his ears. Basically I do all the licking. So you can probably imagine just how excited I was when Rachel brought him home one night!

I wasn’t really sure where he’d gone, but he didn’t smell like any other dogs, so I was willing to forgive him for being gone for so long.  Roogie and I barked and jumped up and down and both tried to climb into his lap at the same time.

His favorite part was definitely our t-shirts that Rachel helped us make. Mine was a little big, but I need the extra room for my massive wiener dog guns.

Even though I love Rachel with all my heart, it’s nice having A home.  He always drops crumbs when he makes dinner and likes to give me a little bit of bacon when he cooks it. Roogie and I have snuggled with him and licked him every chance we get.

We just love having him home!

Five Things You Don’t Know About B

February 17, 2017

In an effort to keep B’s massive ego in check, I’ve limited him to just one blog post a month. The downside to that is he has a whole lot more to say because he saves it all up. I take no responsibility for the words coming from his paws.

What’s the happy haps, peeps? It’s been a really long time since I’ve exercised my blogging chops. Too long in my opinion. I don’t understand why I’m not a more regular contributor around here. It’s clear that I’m the most talented member of this family. I’m not sure if you knew that about me, but it’s true. Ask anyone, they’ll tell you.

Please don’t do that. No one will tell you that. I had to teach him how to go down the stairs, one stair at a time. Clearly I’m going to need to fact check the rest of his blog post.

Since my mom keeps me hidden from the spotlight I truly deserve, I bet you all don’t know some really important things about me.

Important thing #1: I am always hungry. Even if my mom has just given me dinner, I am ready to eat again. I am literally always ready to eat. My food, Ruger’s food, my mom’s food, food that’s not even real food. I will eat it all.

This is 100% accurate.

Important thing #2: I am literally the only one in the house who is worth a darn when it comes to protection. If it weren’t for me, we would get attacked 100 times a day. I’m really the bravest one in the family.

B was once startled by a leaf skittering across the sidewalk.

Important thing #3: I love being outside! The sunshine on my fur, all the smells in my nose…it’s amazing. I would live outside if I could.

Unless it’s windy. Or raining. Or too cold. Then he refuses to leave the house and just holds it until the weather improves.

Important thing #4: The last naughty thing I did was drinking my mom’s water without her knowing about it.

Ew!

Important thing #5: Sometimes I do bad things and blame them on Roogie. Mom falls for it every time! I sure hope she never reads this.

Somehow I am not surprised by this at all.

I’m glad I got to share a few things about me. I know that fans always love when celebrities share more of their personal life.

The Worst Weekend Ever – A Poem by B

November 16, 2016

I was very busy this weekend and a certain four-legged member of my family feels that I didn’t spend enough time with him.

This was the worst weekend ever.

Rachel and I didn’t spend any time together.

She crafted all day.

And at night, Ruger got in the way.

He sleeps on the bed

and sometimes lays on my head.

But now what’s even worse is

he calls the spot under the covers his!

I can’t stand it anymore.

I miss the way it was before.

When Rachel and I were always together.

That was the best weekend ever.

Happy Halloweenie!

October 31, 2016

Happy Monday, everyone! Since today is all about the kiddos and the candy, I’ve let B and Ruger take over control of the blog today! Hopefully it’s still standing when I get back tomorrow!

Hey bloggy peeps! It’s B and Ruger back together. Well technically this is our first blog post together, but you get the idea. Our mom asked us to talk about Halloween and show off our costumes, but we both think that’s a little lame.

But our mom has final say because she’s the grown-up and controls access to our food, so happy Halloweenie everyone! Aren’t our costumes great?!

We were supposed to be a banana (B) and a monkey (Ruger), but Mom took too long got busy and the store was sold out of bananas by the time she went shopping. So a shark and a crab it was! Don’t worry, our faces may say that we hate our costumes, but we just really hate having our picture taken…in our costumes.

We can’t wait to wear our costumes when trick-or-treaters come to the door, although B will likely pretend he can’t walk and just bark from the couch. Ruger is probably going to try and join the kids, even though he’s supposed to stay in the house and isn’t allowed to have candy.

We hope that you all have a great Halloweenie and get lots of candy! Don’t forget to give your four-legged family members some!

Oh. Mom says you cannot do that. Candy would make us sick. Give us a piece of cheese instead.

My New Talent

September 16, 2016

Hey y’all. It’s B-Dog here. I’m so pumped it’s Friday – it’s been a rough week in our house. My big little brother was sick a few nights ago and I barely got any sleep at all. Let me tell you, it’s hard to be myself on only 10 hours of sleep. I mean seriously. How’s a Wigglebutt supposed to deal with that?

Luckily, Roogie feels better now and so we’ll do lots of sleeping this weekend. But honestly, I would be ok if we skipped a little sleeping and did some swimming instead. That’s right. I swim now. I’m like the Michael Phelps of the dog world. At least I would be if Michael Phelps could swim in open water, fight waves and bring back a bumper all while being this cute.

Bring it, swimboy. Bring it.

I didn’t really know how much I’d love swimming until I did it accidentally one day. My competitive streak got the better of me and before I knew it my legs couldn’t reach the bottom anymore! Talk about a surprise. Mom was pretty sure I was going to drown. Honestly, I was a little iffy about it myself. But now: I’m a legit pro.

Even though an afternoon at the lake makes me so sleepy, it’s my new favorite thing to do. As soon as Mom gets the bumpers out, I bark and bark and bark until I get to chase them.

I like it when A throws out the bumper REALLY far because then I get to show off for people.  And boy do they laugh when I beat Roogie to it. They even tease him about getting beat by someone with little legs. Although I don’t know why they think I have little legs. I’m just as big as Roogie. Silly people.

Maybe I can convince Mom to take me to the lake today. Or tomorrow. Or the day after. I’m very persuasive.
