Stitch Fix

Stitch Fix #36

October 6, 2017

Happy Friday, y’all! It’s finally starting to feel like fall here in North Carolina, at least until lunch time and then it’s totally summer again. While it’s great for spending time outside, it makes getting dressed in the morning a bit of tough task. Luckily light layers are always in fashion and Stitch Fix has plenty of layers to go around!

Item #1: Le Lis Adea Faux Suede Button Back Knit Top. FYI this is the back of the shirt. This was another tough choice for me. I loved the fit and even liked the mixed material, which is not normally how I feel. But then I read the tag more carefully and realized that it was DRY CLEAN ONLY! That’s not the way I roll. Back it went.

Item #2: Fate Leyton Colorblock Open Cardigan. Every time I look at this sweater, I get sad. I wanted to keep it SO badly. It was super comfortable and I would have gotten a ton of use out of it. The only problem? It was made of wool and I’m allergic. Cue sobbing emoji. Winter wardrobes are tough for me due to this very allergy. Goodbye pretty sweater.

Item #3: Shiraleah Jesse Crossbody Bag. I LOVE this bag. I took it with me to a work conference late last month and got so many compliments on it. It’s deceptively large and holds everything I needed: phone, wallet and a notebook. You could use it as a clutch or wear it as a crossbody bag. Either way, it’s a great travel bag.

Item #4: Nine Britton Rihannon Lace Detail Knit Dress. I was a little lukewarm on this dress for a few reasons: it’s so similar to a few other dresses I already own and it was a bit short to wear during cooler weather. However, the color was awesome and not one I normally pick up on my own. Perhaps I can find something else in this color!

Item #5: Lila Ryan Liza Colored Skinny Jean. I really liked these pants and seriously considered keeping them, but the price was a bit too high for this month’s budget. I loved the color and the fit and am on the hunt for a more affordable copy cat.

This one of my toughest Fixes to decide on, but overall, I’m happy that I didn’t keep pieces I was iffy about. I’m working to downsize my wardrobe and only add items that I’ll wear frequently. Other than the bag, nothing quite made the cut. Would you have kept anything I sent back?
