Mark this deployment down in history as the deployment where I discovered small flat rate boxes! What they lack in space, they make up in convenience and cost. They’re the perfect way to send a little cheer in between larger boxes. This mini care package will certainly not be the last one I send.
The key to sending a mini care package is to purchase mini care package stuff! These small flat rate boxes don’t hold a lot, but if you scale down the size of the items you send, you can pack in quite a bit! Plus mini things are way more fun than their regular-sized counterparts anyway.
I included tiny Nutella packets, shortbread cookies, mini hand sanitizer and chapstick, small shelf stable cheeses and sausages as well as a few small packets of cookies. Other things you could add in here are drink flavor packets, Gatorade chews, a mini scrapbook, a granola bar or two and small bags of candy.
I couldn’t find a greeting card that I liked and fit in this box, so I opted to write a message on a gift tag instead. I love that the font of the gift tag kind of mimics the font I chose for the decoration.
This mini care package was an absolute breeze to decorate because of the small amount of real estate! I opted for Clemson colors because I’m me and just a very simple statement for decoration. While I normally am a huge proponent of wrapping everything in a care package, I opted not to this go around. Space was tight and wrapping items adds more bulk.
