Happy Monday, everyone! How was your weekend? Mine was filled with lots of crafting in preparation for my store launch next week. So on Sunday evening, when I was a bit care packaged out, I was very happy that I’d already sent A his fall care package (and not just because I love how it turned out).
But for realzies, I love how it turned out. From the gold letters to the little leaves to the cute saying, I think this could be one of my favorite care packages yet (this one is a close second). When planning this box, I knew that it would likely be almost winter before A got it, but I couldn’t just skip the month of November either.
I opted to skip designing it for Thanksgiving and instead decided to send a fall care package. I do a lot of boxes in orange, so even though it’s the perfect fall color, I went with paper that was more neutral. I loved that the paper I found had almost a burlap pattern on it so much that I covered the entire box with it!
My gold letters and felt leaf stickers were $1 section craft store finds and I definitely got my money’s worth. They were just so cute! The letters stood out really nicely on the paper I selected. Pro tip for you: decorate your flaps and then attach them to the box. Trying to decorate them once they’re on the box is a lot more work.
The other two flaps and bottom got paper leaves that, while pretty, were a pain in the you-know-what to cut out, especially with Ruger laying on top of me. Luckily, they came out really well and I think they make the box.
I chose to wrap all of the box’s contents in a combination of brown kraft paper and orange tissue paper to continue the fall color scheme. Those felt leaf stickers made another appearance to dress up the top layer of the contents.
This fall care package contained:
- nut snacks
- shortbread cookies
- peanut butter crackers
- Reese’s peanut butter cups
