Getting My Next Fashion Fix: Stitch Fix Recap #10

August 5, 2015

Sometimes you find a quote that really speaks to you. This is one of those quotes. The Stitch Fix Instagram nailed how much fun it is to come home after a long day and find that box waiting on your doorstep.  It’s such a great day brightener and then once you’ve tried everything on and kept your items, you get that same little bit of sunshine every time you wear something brand new.

This Fix did not disappoint! I had to make some very tough choices in order to keep the pieces I would get the most use out of instead of keeping them all!

Item #1: Brixon Ivy Lex Textured Floral Knit Fit & Flare Dress. I loved the cut of this dress; the fit and flare is my go to silhouette these days, but the color turned me off a little bit. Yellow isn’t terribly flattering on me so I opted to send this one back.

Item #2: Le Lis Truxton Embellished Crew Neck Blouse.  Oh my word. I loved this top as soon as I took it out of the box and have felt that way each time I’ve worn it.  It’s super cool and comfortable which is always valuable when we’re still in full on summer mode here in NC.

Item #3: Octavia Henry Birds on Branch Infinity Scarf. I cannot turn down a good infinity scarf and loved the fun pattern of this one.  I kept it to mix into my cooler weather wardrobe or for use as a fun wrap during the summer.

Item #4: Pixley Michele Scoop Neck Blouse.  I loved the pattern of this one (black and white chevron is my jam), but the cut was just a little low for my taste.  I would have had to wear a sweater or jacket in order to make this work appropriate and that wasn’t something I wanted to do.  This top went back.

Item #5: Renee C Avia Printed Maxi Skirt. This is the most comfortable piece of clothing I’ve ever owned, hands down.  And you’re talking to a girl who sleeps (and occasionally spends a large part of the day) in men’s boxer shorts. It’s nice and stretchy, comfortable to wear all day at work and the elastic waistband lets me roll it up so that I don’t trip all the time.  I’ve worn it multiple times already and have to stop myself from wearing it every week.  You need to ask for this item in your next Fix!

I'm on the fence about Stitch Fix, I may end up giving it a try.

  • I would definitely give it a try at least once. You can do it month-to-month so if you decide you aren't a fan, you don't have to waste the money. Let me know if you try it!
