Getting My Next Fashion Fix: Stitch Fix Recap #8

June 11, 2015

Happy almost Friday! Well technically today is my Friday since I have tomorrow off, but the sentiment is the same! I’m looking forward to a day to myself: reading, writing, Gilmore Girls watching and rocking some new Stitch Fix looks!  My last Fix was so much fun that I couldn’t help but wear some of the pieces already.

Item #1: Skies are Blue McFarlen Spaghetti Strap Blouse. I loved the print of this top, but the cut and strap situation were not good for my body type.  This one went back.

Item #2: Pixley Jakobe Chevron Print Maxi Dress. I’ve always struggled to hop on the bandwagon with this trend, probably because my short legs and shorter torso have a hard time pulling it off. But because I’ve had such a good experience with Stitch Fix, I decided to give it a shot and specifically asked my stylist for a maxi dress.  She did not disappoint! I love the pattern and the way it made me look. I may even have to buy a pair of wedges in order to get the full effect.

Item #3: 41Hawthorn Jace Chevron Print Dress.  Oh this dress. Both my favorite and least favorite piece in the box this month.  Favorite because it was ah-mazing.  It fit perfectly, was just my style and was perfect for work in the summer.  Why my least favorite? Because after I was all ready to purchase it, I noticed a tiny red stain on the dress. Such a bummer! But, I give a lot of credit to Stitch Fix. I sent the dress back with a note about the stain and was immediately contacted by their customer service apologizing! All will be forgiven if they send me a new one!

Item #4: Kut from the Kloth Kate Boyfriend Jean.  I got similar jeans in my last fix, but sent them back because I wasn’t feeling the distressed look. And this month? Poof! Non-distressed jeans! Score.  I kept this bad boys.

Item #5: Street Level Anchorage Striped Canvas Tote.  Oh my word. I cannot express just how much I love this bag. It’s big and roomy enough to be used as an overnight bag, but not so big that you can’t use it as an everyday bag.  I’ve used it so many times already.
